Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in the vibrant city of Cape Town to enjoy all the best that South Africa has to offer. You will be met by a Lion World Travel representative at Cape Town Airport and transferred to the luxurious One&Only.
Situated in the heart of Cape Town, at the fashionable V&A Waterfront overlooking the marina and with panoramic views across to Table Mountain, One&Only Cape Town is a tranquil area on the doorstep of the vibrant city.

After breakfast, depart on a private full day Cape Peninsula tour.
Visit the historic naval port of Simon’s Town and the endearing African penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Drive back along the exquisite stretch of coastline towards the charming working harbor of Hout Bay to Camps Bay and onto Table Mountain to enjoy the sunset view of Cape Town.

Take a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather-dependent) to enjoy the magnificent sunset view of Cape Town.
The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau from one side to the other, edged by impressive cliffs. Table Mountain is often covered by clouds to form the so-called "tablecloth" of cloud. Day 3
Cape Town
After breakfast, begin your half day Robben Island tour as you are escorted by Christo Brand, to the jetty at the Clock Tower in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront where you will board the ferry for the boat ride to Robben Island.
You will be transferred back to your hotel after dinner.

Visit Robben Island
The highlight of the tour is listening to Christo’s story of his close friendship with Nelson Mandela, where he went from being Mandela’s prison guard to his confidante. You will also receive a signed copy of his book Mandela: My Prisoner, My Friend. Robben Island was a place of imprisonment for political troublemakers and Nelson Mandela was one of them. After the tour return by ferry to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Dinner at Gold Restaurant
This evening enjoy the Gold Spice Experience dinner and interactive drumming at Gold Restaurant. You will be transferred from your hotel to Gold Restaurant for your fourteen-course tasting menu featuring dishes from across the continent, complimented by vibrant, fun-filled interactive drumming, traditional dancers, face painting and Mali puppets.
Day 4
Cape Town/Grootbos/Cape Town
After breakfast, depart with a guide and private vehicle. Stop at the widely acclaimed boutique Bouchard Finlayson winery, in the hills of the Hemel-en-Aarde wine region for a wine tasting. They are well known for their world-class Pinot Noir wine.
Continue to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve in Gansbaai. This sustainable eco-reserve is close to the Southern tip of Africa tucked between mountains, forest, and sea. Arrive in time to savor a lunch at Grootbos, where dining is elevated to an unforgettable experience. Enjoy fresh, organic ingredients crafted by an expert culinary team, all set against the backdrop of a world-class natural setting with breathtaking views.
This is also the place to enjoy (seasonal) land-based whale watching. Take a walk on the De Kelders cliffs with its pristine natural environment where there are the best viewing spots to see Southern Right Whales as they come within feet of the shoreline.
In the late afternoon, you will be driven back to your hotel in Cape Town.

In the late afternoon after a decadent high tea, head out for the afternoon game drive through the reserve. En route you will stop for a drink as the sun sets over the distant peaks of the Drakensberg mountains.
Day 9
Kapama/Hoedspruit/Johannesburg
After an early morning game drive to track the animals that may have eluded you so far, followed by breakfast, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit Airport. Bid farewell to the place that has given you unforgettable wildlife encounters in the African bush.
On arrival at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative, who will assist you in checking in at your hotel.
After breakfast, make your way to OR Tambo International Airport (within walking distance) to connect with your regional flight to Victoria Falls
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to Victoria Falls River Lodge – Island Treehouse Suite where you will spend 2-nights including all meals and daily lodge activities.

Visas
United States of America passport holders require visas for Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Visas should be obtained prior to departure either on-line or from the relevant Embassy or High Commission in Washington DC. Visas on arrival will not be issued for Kenya.
Passports
For visitors to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Kenya, and Tanzania, passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended return date.
Passport must contain at least 2 blank visa pages (each) for South Africa and Zimbabwe and 3 blank visa pages (each) for Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique.
Vaccinations & Health Precautions
Malaria is prevalent in the countries included in this itinerary. It is recommended to consult a doctor or travel clinic prior to travel regarding the appropriate precautions to take.
Yellow fever vaccination is recommended prior to arrival in Tanzania and required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Other vaccinations that might be considered before you travel include typhoid, hepatitis A and B, meningitis, and tetanus.

Traveling with children
If you are traveling to South Africa with a child/children under the age of 18 you must travel with an unabridged birth certificate, in English, even if both parents are traveling with the child(ren). Airlines will be forced to deny boarding if the required documentation is not produced.
