On arrival in Livingstone, you will be met by a Lion World Travel Representative and transferred to the 5-star Sanctuary Sussi and Chuma, built on a dramatic bend of the Zambezi River. Stay in a luxury tree house built into the canopy of ebony trees lining the riverbank.
Trained safari guides take you on game drives in 4 x 4 safari vehicles to track the large number of wildlife and witness 'the smoke that thunders.'

Livingstone (Victoria Falls)
The lodge offers walking tours of the falls, sundowner cruises on the Zambezi, canoe excursions, walking safaris and game drives in the National Park.
Take a bicycle tour of Nakatindi Village, 3 miles from Sussi and Chuma. See how the people of the village live in simple mud and brick houses go about their daily lives. Visit the Community School which is responsible for the education of its 442 pupils of which approximately 286 of the children are orphans.
End the day feeling the Zambezi spray on your face and sipping on a cocktail while watching the sunset over the majestic Zambezi River, a once in a lifetime experience.

Livingstone/Chobe National Park
The morning is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer and afterwards you will be transferred by road to the 5 star Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero, a luxurious riverside retreat on the edge of Chobe National Park, home to the largest remaining population of elephants.
During your stay at Chobe Chilwero, you will enjoy a 30-minute hand and foot treatment at the spa.

Chobe National Park
Elephants feature largely on any activity at Chobe Chilwero, as the largest population left in Africa occupies this area. On game drives, you can watch these grey giants as they drink and play at the water's edge.
The best way to end a day on safari is sipping on a cocktail while watching an African sunset over the still waters of the Chobe River from the comfort of a riverboat. This is a great way of seeing buffalo as they come out of the shade to graze and elephants as they wade in the river. This area is renowned for its abundance of sable and roan antelopes.

Chobe/Kasane/Okavango Delta
Drive to Kasane where you will be met and transferred by light charter aircraft to the airstrip at Sanctuary Stanley's Camp. This is a small luxury camp of only eight ensuite classic style safari tents overlooking the Okavango Delta floodplains. The main building is raised on decking and offers expansive views over the surrounding floodplains.

Okavango Delta
Bordering the southern section of the famous Moremi Game Reserve this private concession is home to a wide variety of big game including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.
Activities offered by the lodge include game drives, walks, mokoro excursions (the traditional dug-out canoe).
Early morning and later afternoon game-drives are conducted in open vehicles, which offer unencumbered views for photography.

Depart on your morning game viewing activity after a full English breakfast.
Lunch is served under the trees out on the deck. Then it's time to relax at the pool. Keep a look out for roaming wildlife as you enjoy the stunning view.
Enjoy afternoon tea before setting off on your afternoon game viewing activity. The expert guides are always on hand to share their wealth of wildlife knowledge as you explore the Delta. There are several local lion prides, leopards, genet cats and hyena. You may also see packs of wild dog, as this is one of their last strongholds.

Your Lion World Travel safari includes a “meet and greet” upon arrival. While on safari you will have local experts, rangers, drivers and/or trackers join you on your day tours, game drives and safari activities.

Visas
United States of America passport holders require visas for Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Visas should be obtained prior to departure either on-line or from the relevant Embassy or High Commission in Washington DC. Visas on arrival will not be issued for Kenya.
Passports
For visitors to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Kenya, and Tanzania, passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended return date.
Passport must contain at least 2 blank visa pages (each) for South Africa and Zimbabwe and 3 blank visa pages (each) for Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique.
Vaccinations & Health Precautions
Malaria is prevalent in the countries included in this itinerary. It is recommended to consult a doctor or travel clinic prior to travel regarding the appropriate precautions to take.
Yellow fever vaccination is recommended prior to arrival in Tanzania and required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Other vaccinations that might be considered before you travel include typhoid, hepatitis A and B, meningitis, and tetanus.

Covid protocols and entry requirements are also in place for visitors to Africa. Requirements vary between countries. Please speak to your Africa Specialist for information specific to your itinerary.
Traveling with children
If you are traveling to South Africa with a child/children under the age of 18 you must travel with an unabridged birth certificate, in English, even if both parents are traveling with the child(ren). Airlines will be forced to deny boarding if the required documentation is not produced.
