Table Mountain Cable Car

Take a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather-dependent) to enjoy the magnificent view of the Cape. The main feature of Table Mountain is the level plateau from one side to the other, edged by impressive cliffs. Table Mountain is often covered by clouds to form the so-called "tablecloth" of cloud. Table Mountain is a scenic photographic background and a place from where you can take breathtaking photos of Cape Town.

Visit Boulders Beach

Visiting the historic naval port of Simon’s Town and the endearing African penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Did you know that the African Penguin used to be called a “jackass” penguin because its call is similar to that of a braying donkey!

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the jetty at the Clock Tower in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for your half-day Robben Island tour. Board the ferry for the boat ride to Robben Island.  On arrival you are escorted by Christo Brand who was Nelson Mandela's prison guard on Robben Island for many years. His story is one of their extraordinary and close friendship where he went from being Mandela’s prison guard to his confidant.

Robben Island was a place of exile and imprisonment for political troublemakers.  Some of these political prisoners spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs. Nelson Mandela was one of them. Robben Island came to symbolize the triumph of the human spirit over enormous hardship and adversity.

After the tour return by ferry to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Take the hotel shuttle back to the Twelve Apostles.
