Nairobi/Kilimanjaro – Transfer Arusha
Arrive in Nairobi and connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a Lion World Travel representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3
Arusha
You have time to relax in the morning. After lunch depart on a 2–3-hour Arusha City Tour.
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Clock Tower (strategically located at the centre of Africa between Cairo and Cape Town).
Walk through Boma Road and Visit the Museum to see the history of the origins of mankind and the history of Tanzania under German rule. Continue to the central market for a short visit. Return to your hotel in Arusha via Uhueu Road.

Day 4
Arusha/Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Built to blend in with the vastness of its surroundings, Tarangire Sopa Lodge lies hidden among the kopjes, ancient baobab and grasses of the Tarangire National Park - home to the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa. Many can be seen around the lodge, allowing visitors a close encounter.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge herds of elephant. You will also see a wide variety of wildlife including buffalo, lion, cheetah, and leopard and over 500 bird species.

Tarangire National Park is close to the town of Arusha and hosting Tanzania’s highest concentration of elephant population in Africa, perhaps than anywhere else in the world. It has a horizon dominated by magnificent baobab trees. These trees are known to live for hundreds of years.

Tarangire/Serengeti National Park
After breakfast drive to the Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch en route. You will probably start spotting game well before you get into the park.

Serengeti National Park
Morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park to explore the grass plains when the animals are most active.
Lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowl the south eastern plains.

The Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is a remnant of an ancient volcano with one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world', the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa's best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes, and forests of ‘the land that time forgot', dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions.
Day 9
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend 2,000 feet into the crater for an awesome wildlife experience and half day game drive with a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater.
Return to the lodge to relax and share your experiences.

- Your Lion World Travel safari includes a “meet and greet” upon arrival. While on safari you will have local experts, rangers, drivers and/or trackers join you on your day tours, game drives and safari activities.

Visas
- United States of America passport holders require visas for Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Visas should be obtained prior to departure either on-line or from the relevant Embassy or High Commission in Washington DC. Visas on arrival will not be issued for Kenya.
Passports
- For visitors to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Kenya, and Tanzania, passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended return date.
- Passport must contain at least 2 blank visa pages (each) for South Africa and Zimbabwe and 3 blank visa pages (each) for Tanzania, Kenya, and Mozambique.
Vaccinations & Health Precautions
- Malaria is prevalent in the countries included in this itinerary. It is recommended to consult a doctor or travel clinic prior to travel regarding the appropriate precautions to take.
- Yellow fever vaccination is recommended prior to arrival in Tanzania and required if arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.
- Other vaccinations that might be considered before you travel include typhoid, hepatitis A and B, meningitis, and tetanus.
- For information, visit your family physician or the website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at www.cdc.gov/travel/.
- Covid protocols and entry requirements are also in place for visitors to Africa. Requirements vary between countries. Please speak to your Africa Specialist for information specific to your itinerary.
Traveling with children
- If you are traveling to South Africa with a child/children under the age of 18 you must travel with an unabridged birth certificate, in English, even if both parents are traveling with the child(ren). Airlines will be forced to deny boarding if the required documentation is not produced.
